Down with negativity
It really struck me last night as I read through a number of blogs, how many cynical, negative people there are out there. I suppose cynical blogs are much more interesting to read, even humorous. But man...do they get me down! And so, my blog, as sappy and dull as many may think, is my attempt at balance. There is so much to be thankful for, so many blessings. Even though I am currently going through one of the hardest challenges of my life, even though I am hurting, I can think of so many things to say thank you for, so many reasons to feel lucky and blessed. So, if you want to join me for a non-cynical moment, think about what you have to be grateful for. Here are a few of mine:
~ A beautiful son
~ Shelter and food
~ Good health
~ Shoes and a coat and gloves to protect me from the cold
~ Love from my family
~ Good friends
~ Clear mind
~ Love from the Creator
I'm sure I could go on for quite a while but you get the picture. Take a moment, close your eyes and speak the things you're thankful for out loud! It's powerful to speak light into the darkness...Powerful.

Thoughtful Post - and something I will do soon - list the things I am greatful for.
Personally I like Blogs that are authentic and real. Blogs that inspire, that do speak light and encourage or make you think.
Positive blogs are best - but they also need to allow for times where Melancholy reflection is required - as long as it is not manipulative or perpetual.
Your Blog has got off to a great start.
Canadian diving sounds wonderful. I live and dive on the West Coast where the waters are Seasonal. It is beautiful here too.
I was watching "The Blue Planet" the other night...do you have "Salmon Sharks" or Great Whites near where you live?
